A sharper, more precise sound engine with twice the bass detail, a rebuilt Visualizer, Headroom, a hearing test and Loudness Equalization, your output always in view, Free and Pro spelled out, and reporting and blocking in Community.
Sharper bass. The sound engine now works in frequency slices about 47 Hz wide instead of 94, so the 63, 80 and 100 Hz sliders act on their own instead of moving as one. Choose Bass resolution in Settings: Balanced (the new default), Bass precision for the finest control, or Low latency.
Exact filters. Every Parametric EQ filter type now follows the standard audio EQ formulas exactly, in the engine and on the curve, so what you draw is what you hear.
Headroom. A new setting decides what happens when boosts push loud music past the top. Clean lowers the level by exactly as much as your curve boosts, so nothing distorts. Loud keeps the level up and lets the limiter catch the peaks. Auto picks Clean for Bluetooth and USB, and Loud for the speaker and wired headphones.
Hearing test. In Settings > Tools. Short beeps at seven pitches in each ear find where you hear less than elsewhere, and a gentle EQ fills that in, separately for each ear. Switch it off and on to compare, or set how strong it is. It is not a medical test.
De-esser. Tames harsh S and T sounds in vocals, only at the moment one gets sharp. Saved with each profile, and free.
Taste for Auto-EQ. Bass and treble sliders on top of any headphone correction, kept when you switch headphones.
Loudness Compensation follows your volume. It now adds back what your ears miss at the current volume, live as you change it, based on the ISO 226 equal-loudness curves.
When another app takes the sound. If another equalizer or sound app takes over, a notice says so and Take back restores yours. Another notice explains when Spatial Audio skips the equalizer on some phones, and a new Attach to music apps option (beta) can work around it.
Your output, always in view. The top of the screen now names where your sound is going (the phone speaker, your headphones or a Bluetooth device), changes the moment you switch, and opens Current Output when tapped. The logo beside it lights up while the equalizer is on. Suggested by a member of the Community.
A much better visualizer. Every mode can now show the sound as it arrives or with your EQ and effects applied, compressor and limiter included, so you can see what your settings do. The spectrum is measured properly: each bar is the real share of the sound in its slice of the spectrum, a quiet passage looks quiet and silence shows nothing. In Spectrum mode your exact EQ curve is drawn over the bars, the bars can line up with your EQ bands, and tapping anywhere shows the frequency and level under your finger. Waveform is now a real oscilloscope that holds the wave still, Terrain a 3D landscape of the last few seconds, Particles a fountain whose sparks rise exactly as high as each frequency is loud, and the Circular mode has the app logo at its centre. Freeze holds the picture, fullscreen keeps the screen on, and the VU meter shows the real level.
Lighter processing. Only the bands that actually change are sent to the audio engine, so dragging sliders, 8D and fades cost far less.
Loudness Equalization. One switch at the top of Advanced Audio Processing evens out loud and quiet moments, so you stop reaching for the volume between songs and videos. It is named after the Windows setting that does the same job. It rides on Multiband Compression with a slow, gentle curve, and uses the same Pro unlock.
Report and block in Community. The … menu on any preset or comment now lets you report it, with a reason, or block the person who posted it. A preset you report disappears for you at once and is hidden for everyone after several reports. Blocked people vanish from every list and thread; manage them under Blocked users in Settings or in your account menu. The community guidelines are shown before your first post, and are in Settings any time.
Free and Pro, spelled out. Settings > Monetization now lists everything that is free and everything Pro adds, and explains that one short ad unlocks Pro for 2 hours, stackable up to 24. The Pro screen shows the same list in groups, with its buttons always in view; its old note called Rumble, Punch and Air Enhancement free when they were Pro. Stereo Split EQ could also be switched on without Pro by a profile, a Community preset or the widget, and now follows the same lock as every other Pro feature.
A Feature Guide for everyone. Rewritten from scratch, with a Start Here walkthrough, an If Something Is Wrong section, where to find every control, how to read the Visualizer, and a search box. Open it from the ⋮ menu.
Your layout, everywhere. Classic, Compact or Mixer now also applies to Settings, the Privacy Policy, the language picker, the Visualizer and the app’s dialogs, which had stayed Classic whatever you picked.
Readable in every theme. If the accent colour you pick is too faint on the light or dark background, the app uses the nearest shade of it that reads and says so in Settings, while your colour stays saved exactly as picked. Labels on coloured buttons switch to dark text when white would wash out.
Fixed the equalizer going quiet after a track change. When a new track played at a different sample rate, the equalizer could stop affecting the sound until you switched it off and on. It now checks whenever playback changes and rebuilds itself when the output has changed.
Preamp back to Auto, properly. Long-pressing Preamp to return to Auto kept your manual level until the next EQ change and left the slider where it was. It now takes effect at once and the slider goes back to 0. The spectrum strip above the EQ also moves more smoothly, uses less power and keeps its labels clear of the bars.
Room EQ in every language. The measuring screens, results and tips are now translated, like the rest of the app, and Room EQ and the IR Loader now also work with the phone sideways.
Translations that mean the right thing. Hundreds of buttons and labels had been machine translated with the wrong sense of the word: Apply read as “apply for a job”, Load Profile as a “load profile” from engineering, Current Output as “current production” or electric current, Master Gain as “master’s winnings”, the theme colours as “primary school” and “secondary school”, the output Speaker as “chairman”. All fixed, along with the compressor mode names, text that still showed in English, and the Pro screen, where Watch ad had become an advert for a wristwatch in several languages.
Type a value for Manual Multiband Compression. Press any band’s reading to type an exact figure, in all three layouts.
Better TalkBack support. The Q dial, the Mixer faders, every switch and each Graphic EQ band now say what they are and how they are set, and the dial and faders can be adjusted with a swipe. Icon-only buttons have names too.
Settings that stick. A/B Compare, Undo and per-device profiles could reset the left/right balance, and applying a preset did not bring back its 8D mode. Both fixed.
Apply works from a profile page. On an author’s profile, pressing Apply on one of their presets only showed the word “Apply”. It now applies the preset.
Community messages that fit in. Notices for blocking, reporting and copying now match the rest of the app and appear above the comments, with Undo when you block someone.
More stable. Fixed the crashes reported from the last version, on older Android versions and when returning to the app, and a freeze caused by the spectrum strip running in the background. Also fixed crashes when leaving a screen before it finished loading. If you have crash reports switched on, audio engine errors are now reported too, so problems on specific phones can be found and fixed.
Everything new, in 32 languages. The in-app changelog and every new screen are fully translated.

Tap a band on the Parametric EQ and its own editor opens, with a rotary dial and faders. A full illustrated guide explains every control, and typing a value now works in all three layouts.
Tap a band to edit it. Tap any band on the Parametric EQ curve and its own editor slides up: a rotary dial for Q, faders for frequency and gain, the filter type, an on/off switch and a delete button. No more aiming at a row of tiny boxes. It works in every layout and in the full-screen editor, and with Stereo Split on it knows which ear you are editing.
A guide to the Parametric EQ. A new Guide button above the filter list opens six illustrated sections: what a band actually is, how to add one and edit it, what each of the fifteen filter types does to the sound, what frequency, gain and Q really change, how to switch a band out or delete it, and how to avoid clipping. Every diagram is drawn with the app’s own filter maths, so the pictures are the filters rather than an impression of them. Translated into all 32 languages.
Hide the filter list. Fold the list away and work on the curve alone, for a view with nothing in it but your sound. Every value is still reachable by tapping a band, and the Add Filter button stays where it is.
Type a value in any layout. Press a number in the Compact or Mixer layout and the keypad opens, exactly as pressing the Classic knob always has. The dialog follows your layout now, and it no longer puts a percent sign next to a decibel or hertz figure.
Fixed a crash that hit new installs. On Android 13 and newer, notification permission starts switched off, so the equalizer could close the app during first-time setup, before you had touched a single control. It now runs either way; allow notifications to keep it playing in the background.
Turning the equalizer off is instant. Switching it off could take up to three seconds before the sound actually changed, because the fade-out rewrote every band to the audio hardware ten times over. Measured on a phone at 3.2 seconds before and 5 ms after.
Reverb switches off with everything else. Turning the equalizer off from the widget or the notification left the reverb still running.
A faster keypad in the Parametric EQ. Tapping a value to type it used to take a visible moment, because every field on the screen was a live text box at the same time. Measured on a phone at 30 ms per frame before and 16 ms after, with janky frames down from 25 percent to under 2.
Stereo Split colour and spacing. The right ear used the second theme colour even with gradients switched off, and the Parametric view left a large empty gap between the two ears.
Theme and layout polish throughout. The Parametric EQ panels, the guide and the filter type picker all follow your chosen layout and colour theme, gradients included. Sheets that slide up from the bottom now carry a lit edge along the top that follows the rounded corner and tapers out, instead of stopping square part way along it.
Everything new, in 32 languages. The in-app changelog and the Parametric EQ guide are fully translated, with no string left in English.

Three layouts to choose from — including a full mixing-desk look — and Room EQ, which measures what your room is doing to the sound and corrects it.
Three layouts.Classic is the cards you know, Compact gives each control a single row so there is less scrolling, and Mixer turns the app into a mixing desk with vertical faders, lit readouts and hardware-style switches. Pick one in Settings — every control, dialog, button and screen follows it, right down to the Community tab.
Room EQ. Plays a test signal through your speaker, listens with the phone’s microphone, and shows you which frequencies your room is exaggerating — then builds parametric filters to tame them. Measure from up to three positions for a more reliable result, or load a calibration file if you own a measurement microphone. Measuring is free; applying the correction needs Pro.
Split EQ works properly in the full-screen editor. With Stereo Split on, the full-screen view used to hide the right ear below the fold, and the full-screen Parametric view showed only one channel. Both ears now fit on one screen — side by side in landscape — Parametric shows both, and the Split EQ and Link L/R toggles are finally available in there too.
The widget no longer turns the EQ on flat. Switching the equalizer on from the home-screen widget after closing the app from Recents ignored your profile and started from zero. Your tuning is restored first now.
Sliders that behave. You can scroll past a bank of faders without grabbing one by accident, the coloured fill lines up exactly with the handle instead of drifting toward the ends, and the scale marks stay visible in light mode.
Room EQ measures what it says it measures. The screen now stays awake while it listens, and a run stops if you leave the app — Android silences the microphone for apps in the background, so a measurement could quietly record nothing at all.
Smaller and steadier. Fixed a crash on some phones while checking what the audio hardware supports, and the app no longer unpacks a second copy of itself when it installs — about 10 MB less space used.
Everything new, in 32 languages. The changelog and the in-app Feature Guide cover every addition in this release, fully translated.

A home-screen widget that works without opening the app, full manual control over Multiband Compression, per-device auto-save, and a deep stability pass that clears out two crashes and the app’s biggest freeze sources.
Home-screen widget. Turn the equalizer on or off and step through your saved profiles straight from your home screen — it works with the app fully closed, and follows your theme and accent colour. Tap the profile name to jump into the app.
Manual Multiband Compression. The compressor splits your music into four frequency bands — Low (up to 120 Hz), Low Mid (120 Hz–1 kHz), High Mid (1–8 kHz) and High (above 8 kHz) — and now you can set Threshold, Ratio and Makeup gain for each one yourself. Your settings travel with the profile, so they save, load, export, share and sync to the cloud like everything else.
Lock Bands. A padlock next to Undo/Redo freezes the sliders, so scrolling can’t knock a band out of place while you browse.
Per-device auto-save. Switch it on in Current Output and every set of headphones or speaker quietly remembers its own tuning — no more saving by hand each time you unplug.
Far fewer freezes. The changelog and Feature Guide now open instantly instead of building every entry at once, the app no longer stalls on its way to the background, and the volume and playback checks moved off the main thread. Launcher icons in Per-App Profiles use a fraction of the memory they used to.
Two crashes fixed. One when the app checked what your audio hardware supports — it now remembers a device that failed and skips the check for good instead of trying again every launch — and one when the equalizer notification could not be posted.
Pro now locks properly. Pro features stayed usable after a trial ended until the app was fully closed and reopened, and a profile that used them could still load its Pro settings when Pro was not active, in the app or from the widget. Both are fixed. Also fixed a saved profile still showing its name after you had changed it, when it should read Custom, and editing one band in the parametric EQ changing a different one.

A new Undo/Redo on the Graphic EQ, an all-bands-on-screen layout for the 31-band EQ, big background battery and performance wins, a smaller app, and a server-side fix for community like counts.
Undo and Redo on the Graphic EQ. Step back and forth through your recent changes — band adjustments, preset loads, Auto-EQ, and switching the band count are all reversible, so experimenting with your sound is risk-free. The two buttons sit just left of the band-count selector, above the sliders.
All 31 bands fit on one screen. The 31-band Graphic EQ now shows every band at once by default — no sideways scrolling. Prefer the older, larger scrollable sliders? Turn off Fit all bands on screen in Settings → Behavior. The 15-band view always fits either way.
Much lighter in the background. Plain equalizer playback no longer keeps your phone awake, so it stays cool and easy on the battery while you use other apps — only the 8D and 10D motion effects hold a wake lock now, and only while they're on. Also fixed a brief change in sound when reopening the app from the background, and the visualizer now fully stops capturing while the app is minimized.
Smaller and faster. The app is now about 15% smaller and loads a little quicker.
Community like counts hardened. Fixed like counts that could be inflated by modified clients — likes now change one at a time, enforced on the server.

Audio engine rebuilt. Graphic and Parametric EQ now run on a single, always-on, high-resolution engine, so switching between them is instant — no more turning the EQ off and on to make a mode “take”. Slider and filter-node changes apply immediately as you drag.
Rock-solid stereo & a truly-flat flat. Left and right channels now move together every time — no more one-sided “cave” effect when the app opens or the EQ toggles — ‘flat’ is genuinely flat with no residual colouring, and the master on/off toggle is reliable.
Faster 8D / 10D. Spatial rotation can now spin much faster for a more dramatic surround sweep.
Threaded comment replies. Reply to any comment and it nests underneath as a thread (Instagram-style) behind a “View replies” expander. Tapping Reply auto-mentions the person you're replying to.
Like comments + sort. Tap the heart on any comment, and switch a thread between Top (most-liked) and Newest.
@mentions. Type @ to pick someone from the thread — mentions show in your theme colour and tap straight through to that person's profile.
Activity inbox. A new bell in Community tells you when someone replies to you or @mentions you. Tap a notification to jump right to that comment, highlighted in its thread. (In-app inbox — no push notifications.)
Richer profiles. A commenter's profile now shows their total likes received and the month they joined, alongside every preset they've shared.
Reliability, device compatibility & translations. Smoother performance and crash/ANR hardening, better behaviour on battery-saver and OEM power-management screens (incl. Community ranking rebuilt. Browse now defaults to Trending — a hot-score that weights likes over downloads and decays with age, so genuinely loved recent presets surface instead of all-time download winners. Tap the sort pill to cycle Trending → Top (most-liked) → New (newest).
Comments on community presets. Tap the comment icon on any preset to discuss tuning, ask for tweaks, or leave feedback. Delete your own comments (preset authors can moderate their own threads); report anything abusive.
Author profiles. Tap any author's avatar to visit their profile and browse every preset they've shared.
Clip-risk warning badge. Presets with heavy boosts that may clip, distort, or risk your hearing/headphones at high volume now show a ⚠ CLIP RISK tag before you import.
Spam protection. Comment rate limiting (per-comment cooldown + daily cap) and a profanity filter keep community threads clean and protect server quota — backed by server-side Firestore security rules, not just client checks.

Hybrid parametric engine groundwork — app now probes the device for a vendor parametric AudioEffect for bit-exact biquad rendering. Plus parametric panel layout fix and crash hardening.
Hybrid parametric EQ engine (Phase 1). The app now probes the device on startup for a vendor parametric AudioEffect (Samsung SoundAlive PEQ / Qualcomm aptX PEQ / MediaTek MTK PEQ / Xiaomi param EQ / AOSP generic). When found and the HAL accepts the filter format, parametric EQ uses the vendor effect for bit-exact biquad rendering — bypassing the Q-locked DynamicsProcessing fallback. When not found or rejected, falls back automatically to the v1.3.1 least-squares 32-band fit. No new permissions or audio capture required.
Parametric panel layout fix. Single-mode container height now scales with filter count. Was a fixed 700 px container that left ~200 px of empty space below the last filter row when only 3–5 filters were active.
ANR / native-crash hardening. Activity onDestroy + Flutter plugin teardown chains now individually try/catch every step. One failing step no longer cascades and trips a native SIGSEGV in ART. Matches Crashlytics reports from Pixel / OneUI builds.

User-controlled "Apply to which ear?" popup. Default OFF for frictionless one-tap apply, toggle ON for per-ear control.
New Settings toggle "Ask which ear when applying profiles". Default OFF. With it OFF, applying any preset / saved profile / Auto-EQ headphone profile / community profile now routes to both ears with the profile's effects — no popup. With it ON, the previous "Apply to which ear?" dialog comes back with Left / Right / Both choices and the "Keep current effects" sub-toggle. Lets casual users get a one-tap apply experience while keeping per-ear control available for power users (asymmetric hearing, REW measurers, etc.).
Parametric EQ accuracy rewritten. Auto-EQ headphone profiles (oratory1990 / Crinacle / Innerfidelity / Rtings) now render with audibly distinct character — Sennheiser HD600 sounds nothing like a Sony WH-1000XM5 sounds nothing like a KSC75. A least-squares 32-band fit reconstructs the full target biquad curve across the entire spectrum instead of writing one band per filter, so each measured headphone correction actually plays the way it was measured to. REW sweeps land within ±1-1.5 dB of the reference curve for typical Q ≤ 3 filters.
Stereo Split + Parametric EQ fix. Toggling Split ON while a parametric filter chain was configured used to momentarily silence the filter shape — the audio reverted to flat until the user nudged any filter node. Filter set now stays live through the Split toggle and through Link L/R, matching how Split EQ already worked in graphic mode.
"Keep current effects" toggle is now orthogonal. The toggle is the sole control over whether a profile's extra effects (Bass Boost, Rumble, Reverb, 8D, etc.) replace your stack — independent of which ear (L / R / Both) you target. Previously the L/R route always skipped effects; now toggle OFF + L-ear apply correctly imports the profile's effects too.

Stereo Split EQ — independent left/right channel control. Tune your asymmetric hearing or fix imbalanced headphones for both Bands and Parametric EQ.
Stereo Split EQ. Engage Split from the EQ panel and you get two independent EQ rows (Left ear / Right ear) for the band EQ, plus two stacked Parametric EQ panels in parametric mode. The Android DSP now routes per-channel gains via the native DynamicsProcessing pre-EQ chain — real per-ear correction, not a fake stereo widener.

When Split is on and you load a saved profile, tap a built-in preset, apply an Auto-EQ headphone profile, or import from the community tab, a polished prompt asks whether to apply to Left only, Right only, or Both. Includes an optional Keep current effects toggle so you don't wipe your Bass Boost / Treble / Rumble / Reverb stack when you only want to swap the EQ shape.
Smart Split auto-detect. Loading a saved profile / community profile / import keeps Split ON when L ≠ R, and auto-disables Split when the profile is effectively mono (so built-in presets, Auto-EQ, and balanced profiles play unified without a manual toggle).
Auto-EQ + Built-in presets are Split-aware. Pick a Sennheiser HD600 Auto-EQ profile and target only your left ear. Apply the Rock built-in preset to the right ear without erasing your left-ear shape.
Save / Load / Import / Export / Community Share-and-Apply. Every profile flow now round-trips both L and R band values, both L and R parametric filter sets, the Split flag, and the Link L/R link state.
Link L/R button on the Split EQ row mirrors movement across both ears in real time — for symmetric tuning when you want Split UX but mono audio.
Polished UI: button-style EQ mode pills (31-band / Parametric), refined Link L/R control, ON/OFF switch reshaped to match pill proportions, larger Parametric filter panels on small screens so you see ~4 filters without scrolling.
Parametric EQ stair-step fix. REW frequency sweeps used to show a stair-stepped response instead of a smooth biquad curve because each parametric filter was being resampled across all 32 PreEq band slots. Rewrote the DSP path so every parametric filter claims one dedicated band slot at its exact centre frequency with its exact gain — the DSP's natural bell-overlap now produces smooth peaks and dips. Auto-EQ headphone profiles (oratory1990, Crinacle, Innerfidelity, Rtings) and community parametric profiles render closer to their reference response.
